Induction program 2018 was held on 21/09/2018 at MCA Seminar Hall, Dr. D.Y Patil college Akurdi campus. This program is basically for the first year students and paresnts of the students. The purpose of this program is to introduce the college with the fresher students and their parents and students introduction with the college as well. It was a great opportunity for the parents of the first year students and the teachers to get aquainted with each other. The program started with a very warm welcome of the parents and students. Every student was welcomed to our college with a rose. Prof Shailesh Mandre introduced our college to the parents which included the BFA course, Faculty, College infrastructure, Career opportunity, Training and placement, College tour, Annual Exhibition etc. This introduction was done with the help of Power point presentation. The professors, with the help of Power point presentation, introduced themselves to the students and parents. They talked about themselves, their qualifications, their experiences, specialization subjects and their work. This helped the parents understand that their children were in capable hands and that the college would be a strong foundation for their bright future. Following this, each student was called one by one and introduces themselves and get acquainted with one another. . The I/C principal Dr. Sanjay Pande then proceeded to speak a few words, thus encouraging the students and their parents about the college, the course and the career opportunities to come their way after passing out from the college. Parents were also given the opportunity to come on stage and speak a few words about the college and the program. One of the parents took the opportunity to thank the staff and the college for organizing the program and said that this was very helpful for them to know about the college and staff. The program ended up with light snacks and tea. Parents than interacted with the teachers personally.
